Designed from high quality steel, X50CrMoV15, its wire is protected by the rib. This high quality steel is composed of:

0.50 of carbon that gives the edge to the blade
0.15 of chromium for corrosion resistance
1% of molybdenum and vanadium which gives flexibility to the blade and thus allows an easy re-sharpening.
